Major Accomplishments

Huda Al-Ghoson is the former Executive Director of Human Resources at Saudi Aramco. She is the first woman to be named a permanent executive director in the company’s history. As the head of Human Resources she was responsible for all HRM and HRD programs in the company, including workforce planning, staffing, leadership and professional development, compensation and benefits, organization consulting, performance management, retirees’ services, and labor relations to more than 66,000 employees from 80 different nationalities.

Al-Ghoson holds an MBA from the American University of Washington, D.C., USA. She has been on Forbes’ list of the most powerful Arab women and received the 2014 Arab Women Awards for Business Woman of the Year in KSA. She was also selected as Business Woman of the Year at the Arabian Business Achievement Awards 2015 and honored with the 2016 Women in Leadership Award from the Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, she received the 17th Middle East Women Leaders Excellence Award, and the 2017 Gold Award for Excellence by the Arab’s Women Council for Social Responsibility.

Al-Ghoson was a member of the Board of Directors of Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF), Saudi Aramco Development Company (SADCO), Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Company (JHAH), Saudi Aramco Investment Management Company (SAIMCO), and Saudi Aramco Asia Company (SAAC). She is currently a member of the Board of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), Credit Suisse Saudi Arabia Bank, a member of STC Nomination & Remuneration Committee, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Leadership Centre Advisory Board, TATA Women’s Advisory Council.
Al-Ghoson is also Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Arabian Society of Human Resources Management (ASHRM).
