Dr. Ouafa Hajji
President of Socialist International Women.

Dr. Ouafa Hajji is currently the President of Socialist International Women, as a representative from the Socialist Union of Popular Forces Party. At the Socialist Party, she is a member of the party's National Council and a coordinator of the party Committee on Studies. Internationally, she is a member of the party's Foreign Relations Commission and a member of the party delegation to the Socialist International. She is also the former Vice President of the Committee on the Economy, Social Cohesion, and the Environment.
Hajji is also the Operations Director at the Central Bank of Morocco. She is a founding member of Jossour Forum des Femmes Marocaines and was President of the Support Network for the Program of women integration to development from 1995 to 2005. She is a trained Economist with special skills in Economic and Social Development, Government Policies, and Banking and Financial system. Hajji is very active in the debates around women's rights in Morocco, specifically the Moudawana reform, and has initiated projects and actions in favor of women's development.
