Professor of Constitutional Law and Political Institutions at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Rabat, the Moroccan Academy of Diplomatic Studies, the faculty of the legal economic and social sciences Rabat Agdal, the Royal Institute of Administration Territorial Office, the General Treasury of the Kingdom of Morocco, the School of Governance and of Economics, and the International University of Rabat.
Member of several councils, boards, and committees.
Dr. Nadia Bernoussi is a lawyer and founding member of the Moroccan Association of Political Science and the Arab Association of Constitutional Law. She received her Doctorate of State in Public Law at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences Rabat Agdal of Mohammed V. University. She is a Professor of Constitutional Law and Political Institutions at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Rabat, at the Moroccan Academy of Diplomatic Studies, at the faculty of the legal economic and social sciences Rabat Agdal, at the Royal Institute of Administration Territorial Office, the General Treasury of the Kingdom of Morocco, the School of Governance and of Economics, and at the International University of Rabat.
Politically, she has been involved since 2011 as a member of the Consultative Commission for the Revision of the Constitution, as well as President of the Commission for the drafting of the law on the creation of the Council Advisory Committee on Youth and Community Action. Since 2014, she has also been a member of the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research and chairs the Committee on Access and Education for All. Additionally, she has served as Vice President of the International Association of Constitutional Law, Vice President of the International Academy of Constitutional Law, President of the African Network of Constitutional Law, Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair on the Training of Development Professionals, Member and Founder of the Network Mixité et gouvernance and President of the Moroccan Network diversity and governance, Founding member and president of the Grand Taza Association for Development, Member of the Scientific Council of the Global Education Law Forum (GELF), President of the UNESCO jury on tolerance and non-violence Paris 2016/2018, Member of the scientific council of the EuroMeda network, and Member of the editorial board of the Revue Française de Droit Constitutionnel.
Bernoussi has also contributed to planning celebrations for her country’s 50th anniversary of independence, as well as collaborated on collective works including “young people and citizenship in Morocco” with UNESCO. She has been named for prestigious awards, including the 2018 Knight’s Insignia of the Legion of Honor and the 2011 Commander’s Badges of Wissam Al Arch.
