Dima Abu Ghoush is a Palestinian writer and filmmaker based in Jerusalem. She started as a short story writer, and worked as a teacher of English literature before she turned to filmmaking. In 2002 she won a Chevening scholarship to study in the UK, and received her MA degree in Film and TV Production from the University of Bristol.
For a few years, Abu Ghoush worked as a freelance director and producer and made several short films. In 2005, she co-founded Collage Productions, an independent production house based in Palestine. She made several documentaries, both short and long: Good Morning Qalqilia, My Palestine, Hamorabi, First Love, and others that were selected for several film festivals. Some of her films were even screened on Arab and European TVs. Her latest film Emwas Restoring Memories has won several prizes, and continues to be shown in festivals around the world.
