Silatech is an international social development nonprofit, non-government organization that works on connecting youth to jobs and provide resources for them to establish and sustain successful enterprises.
The organization was founded in 2008 by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, as a member in the High-Level Group and an ambassador in the UN Alliance of Civilizations. Silatech currently has programs in 17 countries, including Algeria, Egypt, Comoros, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen, including a program for Syrian refugees in Turkey.
Since its inception, Silatech has secured one million jobs for youth by working with a network of 300 local, regional and international partners from all sectors to design and implement programs that uproot youth out of poverty and chronic unemployment, thus empowering them to contribute to the socioeconomic development of their countries.
